Municipal Solar Infrastucture Project (MSIP) - Capacity Building Component
Description of Project | MSIP was one of the final projects under the defunct DIFF (AusAID concessional loan) Program. BP Solar, Australia provided 1,000 solar power small-scale infrastructure systems to remote communities across central and southern Philippines. Through this project it is envisioned that solar power will be used as an enabling technology to support basic human needs, such as water supply, health services and schools. Hassall International and SDS were contracted by BP Solar to provide training services to the project to facilitate project sustainability and ensure its success. Key areas of training include social preparation, community based administration and sustainable operation & maintenance of the infrastructure. |
